The Chautauqua County Genealogical Society will meet Tuesday, September 17th at 6:30 PM in the Steele Room at the Darwin R. Barker Library in Fredonia. The speaker is scheduled from 7:00 PM to 7:45 PM. Ron Halicki of Dunkirk, will present a program about the 100 year old history of the Halicki Family Garage, founded by his immigrant father John in 1919, in the East Town of Dunkirk. Ron continues to research and collect any information, documents, pictures of the Halicki garage and any other garages, automobile dealerships, raceways and related topics in Chautauqua County. The public is invited to attend all meetings and to utilize the Garland Room family research library of the Society. The Barker Museum and research room are both open Tuesdays from 4 PM to 7:45 PM and Saturdays from 1 PM to 5 PM.
